Random thoughts...

Even though photography has never been my main source of income or full-time occupation, it has definitely been the passion of my whole life. The magic of transformation of ordinary reality into something beautiful on photo paper still amazes me like some kind of alchemy, and after all these years this process has still not lost its magic.

For me photography is the same as painting, it is the way of artistic transformation of reality into something that seems close to actuality, but in fact does not exist. My vision is that people mostly live by their memories. Everything we have is our past. All our knowledge, our feelings, and our plans for future - everything is based on our previous life experience - what we did, what we learned, what we felt... And photos in this process play the role of a diary, where you write your notes about what happened to you, about your feelings, thoughts and your mood. I believe that if you have happy memories it means you have a happy life. If you have a lot of memories it means you have a very interesting life. Thus your photos should be exciting, full of joy and delight about what happened to you.

My belief is based on the idea that the process of photography is interpretation of the reality surrounding us into the image that reflects your mood and feelings combined with elements of reality, which correlate with memories from your past. We can't freeze the moment and keep it forever, but we are able to create visual images which lead us to the same mood and create the same feelings in our heart. Following this paradigm I have been creating the endless series of such images-memories during my life. Here they are. I want to share them with you.
